Eventify Me — Dance planning for weddings & events

This Privacy Policy explains how Eventify Me (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Eventify Me mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Eventify Me is a productivity tool that helps choreographers and their clients plan dance performances, organize groups, shortlist songs, and schedule practices. We collect only the data needed to provide these features.

1. Information We Collect

a) Account & authentication information

When you sign in, we collect information from your chosen authentication method:

Google Sign-In: your name, email address, Google profile photo URL, and a unique account identifier (Firebase UID).
Phone number sign-in: your phone number and a unique account identifier (Firebase UID).

Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We never see or store your Google password or the SMS one-time codes used to verify your phone number.

b) Content you create in the App

Events you create or join (e.g., wedding events and event types such as Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet).
Dance groups and group details (group name, type, choreography level, language).
Dancer names and counts you enter for a group.
Songs you search, shortlist, reorder, or add as custom entries, and any related notes.
Tutorial links, practice schedules, availability, confirmed practice slots, and notes.
Your subscription/plan status within the App.

c) Technical & log information

When the App communicates with our servers, standard technical data may be processed to operate and secure the service, such as your IP address, device/OS type, and request timestamps. We do not use advertising identifiers, and the App does not include third-party advertising or behavioural tracking.

2. Permissions Used by the App

Eventify Me is designed to request the minimum permissions required to function:

Internet / network access — to sign you in and sync your events, groups, songs, and practices with our servers.

The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, photos, or files. If additional permissions are ever introduced, this policy and the store listing will be updated, and the App will ask for your consent in context.

3. Firebase & Google Services

We use the following Google services strictly to provide core functionality:

Your use of Google services is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy. YouTube features may additionally be governed by the YouTube Terms of Service.

4. Analytics & Crash Reporting

Eventify Me does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or Sentry). Basic server logs may be generated for reliability and security, as described in Section 1(c).

5. How Your Data Is Stored & Protected

Where it is stored: Account content (events, groups, songs, practices, and your profile) is stored in our secured application database. Authentication credentials are managed by Google Firebase Authentication.
In transit: All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
Access controls: Access to stored data is restricted to the operation of the App and authorized personnel only.
Role separation: The App enforces per-event roles (client vs. choreographer) so a device can hold only one role per event.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; while we take reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and maintain your account.
To create, display, and sync your events, dance groups, song lists, and practice schedules.
To enable collaboration between choreographers and clients on the same event.
To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App.
To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

7. Data Sharing

We share information only in these limited situations:

Service providers: With the infrastructure and authentication providers described above (Google Firebase, Google/YouTube APIs, and our database/hosting provider) solely to run the App.
Collaboration: Event content you create may be visible to other participants of that same event (e.g., the choreographer and client working on it together).
Legal: Where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and service.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App.

Deleting your data

In-app: You can delete your account from the App’s settings. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated account data from our systems.
By request: You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by emailing us at the address in Section 11. We will process verified deletion requests within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

9. Your Rights (including GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure — request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
Restriction & objection — restrict or object to certain processing.
Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent.

Legal bases (EEA/UK GDPR): we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the App), based on your consent (e.g., when you sign in), and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service. To exercise any right, contact us using Section 11. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children’s Privacy

Eventify Me is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Google Play Compliance

This policy is provided in accordance with the Google Play User Data policy. It discloses the data the App collects, how it is used, shared, secured, retained, and deleted, and provides a way to request data deletion. The App’s Data safety section in the Google Play listing reflects the practices described here.
